March Meeting Topic: "How to Avoid an Audit" presented by Sara Bailey
“You’re being audited.” Three words that strike terror in the hearts of taxpayers nationwide. Small business owners who wear multiple hats and struggle with recordkeeping can be a prime target for an audit.
The March 16th dinner meeting will provide you with critical information to help you start the new year off right and stay on track in 2010.
In addition to sharing tips to avoid an audit, Guest speaker, Sara Bailey, President of Dolphin Bay Business Services (and the chapter's VP of Membership) will share information on keeping accurate records, as well as how to use QuickBooks to stay on top of the piles of paper.
Sara is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, an Accredited Tax Preparer and has over fifteen years experience as a bookkeeper. She is a sought after speaker and expert in this topic and one of the chapter's returning speakers

NJAWBO (The New Jersey Association of Woman Business Owners) is the largest statewide women business owners' organization in the United States. Its primary objective is to support and encourage business ownership by women. Since 1978, NJAWBO has helped women achieve their business visions by providing them with the tools to develop and grow their enterprises.
Dubbed "New Jersey's Most Powerful Network" by Business News New Jersey, networking, partnering, leadership, education and political advocacy are the hallmarks of the NJAWBO experience. As of today, NJAWBO has grown to approximately a thousand members, organized in twelve chapters, and three regional groupings, with members serving as officers at the chapter, regional and state levels. Together, we are a diverse, dynamic, and powerful group of women business owners.
The increasing success of women-owned businesses in our society will continue to build on itself and contribute to the development of still more confident women, running thriving, thoroughly accepted businesses. And the very special place of NJAWBO - women supporting women - will continue to be an important environment for women business owners in New Jersey.
As the population of seasoned women business owners grows in New Jersey, our membership mix is evolving to match this. And as the businesses of our current members grow, their expectations change. It is increasingly clear that, to continue to meet member needs, we must reach new heights and expand our offerings.
With the slowly increasing opportunities for women, ups and downs of the economy, fast-paced changes in technology and unique challenges women business owners face today, our mission is more important than ever before.
